The first online concert of Bulent Guneralp Voice Studio took place for the residents of The Bay Village Assisted Living Center in Maryland on February 28, 2021. Thank you, Muge Pars Gorgulu, for your kind invitation. And thank you, my dear students, Quang (Massachusetts), Eliza (Texas), Sarah (Massachusetts), Laura (Massachusetts), Oni (New York), Minelle (California), Adam (North Carolina) and Michael (Massachusetts) for your wonderful performances. Congratulations to all of you. Repertoire included classical, musical theater and American Songbook. I also would like to acknowledge Harrison (Massachusetts), who worked hard for this performance, but couldn’t participate due to a last minute technical issue.

Oni is one of my first voice students in the US, and a medical professional. She first studied with me in Massachusetts in the early 2000s, then moved to New York, and after a long hiatus resumed her lessons via Skype early this year! It's wonderful to hear her angelic voice again!

Quang joined my voice studio in Arlington in March 2019. He moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in June, and started doing his lessons via Skype. He is enjoying a wonderful cultural environment in New Mexico, attending many performances in Santa Fe Opera. This morning, on July 29, he was back in Arlington with a beautiful present, a Santa Fe Opera Glass! Thank you so much Quang!

With my dear friend, Koray Sazlı, in the studio yesterday (July 17, 2019)! Koray was visiting from Istanbul, where he is an associate professor and the composition division coordinator in the music and performing arts department of The Yıldız Technical University. Also a wonderful classical guitarist, he and I did many performances together in the mid-2000s in Boston. It was so good to see him and our mutual friend Carol, who joined us later in the evening. We had a wonderful time, and I was delighted to offer them two of my favorites I had prepared in their honor, raw vegan Chocolate Chip-Maple Maca Ice Cream and Banana Coconut Pie!
